I honestly think they're seriously considering it. It's too early for any kind of E3 announcement, but expect something very very soon.
I mentioned both, and he seems interested. I honestly think they will come up with something really quickly.
Think you'll find GT5 is even worse.
I await my Steam key with baited breath. Cannot wait. Triple screen is gonna rock!
Comparing GT5 to iRacing is like comparing masturbation to sex. Sure, they both have the same eventual aim and result, but one of them always leaves you feeling like you missed out on something....
Agreed - this info is good for any game with an adjustable fov
Can't be beaten for $29
Any Arduino board will work but the Uno is the recommended one.
Must. Have. That. Capri!
Don't get me wrong; I like GT5 and Forza; I even like F1 2010 (I know, I know - sue me) but there is simply NOTHING out there right now that can come close to iRacing.com - if you are at all interested in racing and own a PC you really should try it out.
I honestly don't care what it looks like. I'm from an era where gameplay is king. iRacing may look a little 2008ish, but in terms of driving experience and accuracy there's simply nothing that can touch it - not even the "precious" GT5.
Good point. I raced the Dallara at Indy with Dale Jr a few months ago. He's a blast.
If you want realism, iRacing is imply the only choice. GT5 is a good game and great value for money, but it cannot compete with laser scanned tracks, cars and pinpoint physics.
I love my PS3 too but there's only so much it can do, while my three-monitor PC can really create an immersive experience like no other with iRacing. It's well worth trying out.
These updates will make it like nothing ever seen before. It's really pretty exciting.
It's a fantastic game that sadly was pushed out too soon. Hopefully the extra month will get it ready for the US release but yes, some of the code does need some serious work.
Looks good. Nice video. Would be nicer if it was 1080p
Agreed - the Logitech G27 is a great wheel and for the price it really cannot be beaten. However this wheel is not aimed at that market or pricepoint - it's aimed as a midway upgrade between the Logitech and the more expensive wheels such as the ECCI and Frex. It's meant to compete directly with the Fanatec series of wheels.
No. They're paying $600 (400 UKP) for one of the best wheels currently made. You also get a bulletproof set of pedals with it, which you do not get with the Fanatec - that's $250 extra and therefore putting the cost of the GT2 firmly ABOVE the Thrustmaster.
I'm trying to source a GT2 so I can revisit my review and do an honest side-by-side comparison between the two, but I know plenty of iRacers who have ditched their Fanatec wheels for this Thrustmaster one. It...
Official patch has been released. Should be available on Steam now.
That's basically what Logitech did.
