Sometimes you need someone to push the tech envelope to get innovation going again - and the PC will always be the best place to do that. Then it filters down to the consoles and everyone's a winner.

Yeah, it reaallly looks like Mass Effect when you first lay eyes on it, but it's starting to grow on me. I'll be keeping my eye on this.

And hey - there's room for both, right?

Ha! Yeah, I know, it's just sooo many games - this one had slipped my mind till I read this :)

E3 overload :)

Hmm. I'm actually suddenly interested in this now!

Ha I did enjoy David Jaffe's "I promised not to swear" moment!

Cannot wait for this game - the trailers yesterday were simply stunning...

I'm probably alone but I also liked how they've approached integrating Kinect into it on 360!

Because of course the internet doesn't work across oceans. This whole business is simply bizarre.

The idea of turning this into a genuine sandbox game where you can put things together as well as blow them to kingdom come sounds brilliant. Like Garry's Mod on a massive scale.

Well, that's definite confirmation that the CoD online theory is wrong. It has to be Modern Warfare 3.

Surely it can't be too much longer now?!

Oh, and my 6th thing we can expect: I bet we see a Portal gun in Half Life 3.

Really looking forward to what these guys cone out with - but then I am disturbingly partial to a bit of zombie action :) BRAINS!

I cannot believe people are actually moaning about this - Valve aren't holding Portal 2 back unless you play these indie games, instead they're giving their community the chance to get it early by, whoah, discovering and playing some fantastic games.

What other developer would use their blockbuster game to help promote a whole bunch of independent games to a new audience?

Good summary of why the first game was a corker. It's easy to feorget now, but it looked like this tiny game they'd added to fil out the Orange Box when it was released. Now look at it :)

Seriously can't wait till my Steam copy unlocks!

It's pre-loaded on my PC - the frustration is having to wait for days now for it to unlock, knowing it's sitting there waiting :)

Really interesting read. Something strange certainly going on in Canada!

Word of mouth wasn't great on it - especially the enemy design - when people saw it last year, so some changes might well be necessary...

Yeah, Vettel's a one man safety car machine this season - the lad's fast but, jeez, if he could just learn to overtake...

Cataclysm is severely tempting me, though, despite kicking my addiction a few years back, and steering well clear of MMOs since. Blizzard just have that ability to polish stuff to the Nth degree, that I want to see how they've shaken everything up.

I suffer from terrible gear-lust, much to my wife (and my bank manager's) dismay

The media only pay him any attention because his name is all over the Internet in stories like this. In a results-driven business, he'd be hounded out of town.
