Can we all be real here? I don't care how good Uncharted 4 looks....you got Boobs on the other side...that's always a win!
I can't even dip into my backlog...not enough time. When you have family, friends, girlfriend/wife/strange, pets, house work, job...etc.
It makes perfect sense to buy one game when it's cheap, complete it, then move on. If you can't bring yourself to complete it...then trade in or just wait until next release.
Unless it's Fallout 4 though, day one...
IT BETTER! Those are some of the greatest moments in the game, it gave it a those small bright spots of humor and light. I wouldn't mind a remixed techno electric version of any of those songs though...just to do it.
But yes...keep it light when it's suppose to be light. This is just fanfare anyways.

Totally agree. It's like menu driven = no skill nowadays. Just because you don't control your player in a 3D field doesn't mean skill isn't involved. Whatever. Square will ruin everything, they've done it for years.

The only time I loved a companion was with Boone. Dude made going places you couldn't go possible.
Game looks sweet, but with all the others out this year. Takes a huge backseat. Getting old sucks.
At least doing all those incredible things and enduring all those injuries will be believable this time around. I love the Tomb Raider games in she was about 150 polygons thrown together, but damn. Also...give me my dual pistols with infinite ammo...oh and a T-Rex...
I get what you're saying, FF12 was the beginning of the end of the turn based style. Menu driven battles is what made the game what it is.

Game has made my whole year. I don't even care about other releases...I just want this game in my eyes right now! But I can wait...
Revamped turned based style. Perfection, don't lose the tactics or the materia system. Don't try to throw FFXV or FFXII for that matter. Just improve on the turned based system of old...it's a remake, not a reboot.

Everyone knew of that game or played it, even when they didn't have a PlayStation. Just like Goldeneye or Smash Bros back then...or Mario 64 for example.
With the culture change in gaming, I don't think people spend as much time in the same room as they did in the past.
Even though people disagree with you, I think everyone should be able to experience this game. No matter what console you have, just fanboys want to keep it all to themselves. This game needs to be loved by everyone, just like in 1997.

Everything better be back, hacking what made the game stick with the minds of the audience is a huge mistake. For example...I better be getting my 15 hours of chocobo breading, but expand on it like the Kentucky Derby? Now that would be sweet.
action based like FFXV? Pass on this then, you wanna remake VII? Then you bring back everything that was great about VII...turn based greatness with airships.
