personally i consider my self a hardcore gamer and would buy a 360/ps3 if i didnt already have one but the way the wii is right now, i will never buy one, only there franchise games are any good (mario, zelda etc) i dont care about motion controls or even HD graphics just good games is all i need
if the wii never appeals to gamers like me (hardcore gamers) it will never surpass the ps2 which, managed to get bot...
the ps3 made it a minor feature
the wii made it its main selling feature

its competing against the horde of wii games/accessories and the 600ld silverback called wii fit which has been number 1 for god noes how long

i thought it was because the 360 was getting beaten from the first half of the year and you talk about desperation? how about being the lowest in price at such an early age in the products life cycle
how much profit would microsoft get if they were to have another price drop? not much im guessing, unless they reduce to production cost so low that they can afford to
but how do you propose its done? the only way i can think ok is making staff ask "is this your first 360" same with online purchases but in that case a pop up would appear asking the same question
only the staff approch is an option though (how many people close pop ups without reading or thinking about it?)
