i remember the ngage and how it failed but that was nokia's failings
the design was bad, good games were had to come by, being totally reliant on 3rd parties will always hurt, and in my opinion consumers were not ready for a gaming phone at that time, it took the iphone to make it possible
im no inventor or engineer but tech has come a long way, so i think the design/tech and co exist in equal amounts

why would it be touch only? im not understanding the logic behind your comment, are you telling me sony would abbandone what they have been doing for 5 years just like that? adding buttons makes it a better handheld then the iphone but also adding touch screen allows it to compete with the iphone too
maybe i read to much into the article but i think it will be a proper phone/handheld, the phone you described already exsits and its called the sony ericsson aino

@PinkUni, im confident sony will add all that, even sh!tty £30 phones have a camera and a SD slot available and apparently adding touch does not cost that much (cant give any proof of this)

i dont think its to late, the lack of proper gaming buttons does hurt the iphone's gaming capabilities, and apple dont make games so they are completely reliant on 3rd parties, at the moment the iphone is the only successful phone/gaming handheld but it has not had any really competition till now
i dont no about you but i dont want to use the touch screen to do everything, especially gaming
sony can co exist here like the PSP has done with the DS
i hacked my G1 pretty easily just to change the interface but the funny thing is you dont even need to hack an android phone to get paid apps for free, their security is lack luster
even if it has a low battery expect companies like mugen to step in and make a high capacity version, they have done the same for pretty much every new-ish phone

well, i dont no about you guys but i have wanted this for the longest time now, an all in one device is the only thing i wanna be carrying with me outside.
if its done right it could actually compete with the DS and iphone, make it open source and get the games rolling out and this could be epic, also, dont over price it, learn from your mistakes please
i thought emulators would have killed any future SNES games, hell, i even have super mario on my phone for free

1, the 360 isn't going any where
2, the ps3 isn't going any where
3, the wii will continue to outsell both
4, either console selling more changes NOTHING for gamers
neither console will die but if sony and the PS3 did, expect sh!tty service and games from M$, remember, they wont have to try or compete any more
i literally have tears in my eyes, that was just SO MUCH MORE then i was expecting, the first kill was awesome, the new weapons, powers and items you get look so sweet too
