Very good question, wonder if anyone can shed some light on this
Anonimity breeds this kind of behavior as well
Do your female friends not play mobile games?
Why not?
Exactly, social games are also games, just because its not the new COD doesnt mean its not a game :)
Ah yes, Dark Souls 2 did live up for me as well. I was so worried the developers would make the game easier to pull in the masses, but they had the courage to stick to their guns :)
Agreed, though even gameplay videos might be misleading at times. This is the day and age of gaming we live in unfortunately :(
Well said, but do you think the hype could affect the way the developers go about adding systems or changing parts of their vision for the game during the developmental process?
Yeh, Guerilla Games has some very talented developers. I hope they can achieve their vision for the game and not be hindered by the amount of hype that surrounds it!
I think its more about protecting their ideas from MS
Dont think MS can sue. New engine, differnt name, was developed pre-ms
Exactly, very well said. We are so in the dark as to the future of MOD development in minecraft at the moment, that it is the right move for developers to move to standalone if they can
Exactly. The amount of hype Destiny had and in general how much people expected from it could never be achieved.
In Destiny's case, dissapointment bred contempt, resulting in some low scores which might have been better if not for the hype.
I think a fair way would be to score it like this:
SP - 5/10
MP - 5/10
Graphics - 5/10
Sound - 5/10
Gameplay - 5/10
Stability and performance - 5/10
Then give the average rating at the bottom. Yet to your point, i think all the different aspects scores should be shown to the reader.
This makes me think of Divine Divinity many years ago. It was one of, if not the best RPG experiences I ever had, yet it had no publicity at all.
The game was still a success, later on spawning sequels after people realized what a gem it was
I think numbered review scores are still needed and i use them regurarly. The reason being that it is still a great measure to sum up the game's quality.
However, I do agree and believe that game reviewers should come together and decide on one, fair system, in order to number rate the games.
Couldnt agree more!
Exactly, anyone would do what he did even if they had an offer from a company much worse than Micro$oft
I wonder if he is being completely truthful. However, i can see how the pressure of being him can become too much.
Would not blame him if it was all about, or mostly about the $2.5 billion either.
I still need to play the expansion :( Need to die some more :)
