Have you seen this?
Modern Warfare 3?
Haha
It's not about girl gamers, it's about "Grrl gamers", the ones that don't really play them, they just use them as a social statement, like what he wrote in the article.
It's not against the genuine girls that like games, but the ones that make out that they do.
I work in a computer games shop.
We use a machine to clean discs, it's obviously a lot better than the "self-made" methods that people try.
It's called Azuradisc the machine that we use, it's basically like a sander as water is added to it, but not as strong.
That's what I was thinking!
I live in the UK, and they've been out for a while now.
They were a limited package deal.
Unless I'm missing something?
Nearly all of those are from this generation.
There are loads in the older generations that I'd consider "uglier".
Even some of the ones suggested in this comment section are more uglier than ones in that article.
Some more:
Abe from Abe's Oddysee/Exoddus
Raziel from Soul Reaver series.
Very funny. I was thinking that too.
It's a shame that games have such a short life-span now.
It wasn't about "being connected to the internet", it was about going online on your PS3, and playing online.
It's always good for a game to receive updates.
Just because the games "old", doesn't mean that it can't have updates anymore.
Diablo 2 received an update not long ago, you know.
You may be right FishyFingers
I have used all three products: PSP, DS & Iphone, but like you said, at the minute on the iPhone there does seem to be more "cash-in games".
So the iPhone could very well be better than the PSP and DS, but for me I haven't seen proof as of yet in the Games department, albeit a powerful device in other regions (internet browsing etc)
It's a good idea but not "huge competition" as the iphone/touch doesn't have the graphical/processor capabilities as the psp/ds.
Also the Playstation & Nintendo franchises are more well known.
I agree with you
I enjoyed the demo, played through it at least 10 times, yes they have taken a different route with it, but I like what they've done with it to an extent.
Sure they've taken out the "classic splinter cell stealth" out of it, but they've changed it, and it makes it more of an action/stealth game, which I like also.
I can understand why people prefer the older games, which I too liked, but this one, for me, is summing up to quite...
I've been waiting for one of these articles ever since the Splinter Cell: Conviction demo came out.
Surprised it took so long.
Yeah, that trophy is easy to get, so if people are thinking whether or not to use this glitch or not, trust me, you don't need it.
I got the Platinum trophy on God of War 3 earlier today :)
It shows that companies are believing in Steam, so hopefully other companies will follow suit.
PC gaming may improve ten-fold as games become more accessible, and without piracy left, right and center.
Win-Win I say.
I agree with the people saying that they should go back to the old-style way of playing.
Like you've all stated, it was so much more scarier, as you couldn't see what was behind you or what was around the next corner.
They need to bring back the scare-factor definitely.
I look forward to see if they listen to the fans, and see what they come out with.
I reckon there are quite a few games that need remakes, and not "revolutionising"...
*Sigh* ............
On a related note:
"Sledgehammer Games was founded on November 17, 2009 by Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey, who left Electronic Arts subsidiary Visceral Games to found Sledgehammer Games." - Wikipedia
So they haven't made any games yet, that's why no-ones heard of them.
It'll be interesting to see what they come up with, but at the moment, I don't care for any more Call of Duty's.
