If you haven't noticed the massive upsurge in discussions about gender in videogames since Anita became famous then you haven't really been paying attention to gaming culture. That's her main contribution, which you'd see if you'd read the article. Just click it and use your eyes, it's not hard.
Yeah, it couldn't be the fact that I think her work has value for all of the reasons listed in the article that you obviously didn't read. It must be because I want to do big sex with Anita forever. Clever lad, here.
I really can't see why she wouldn't want to communicate with people like you. You seem so lovely.
"You don't like the new games, which is your fault, somehow."
This is the exact same argument that keeps coming up with Silent Hill. Final Fantasy fans aren't terminally unpleasable and hateful because they enjoy being like that. They express dissatisfaction with the new games because, wait for it, the new games aren't as good as the older ones.
If you want people to enjoy your games, the best thing to do is usually to make better games....
That was a pretty good read, nice one!
People will give up their rights when there's some benefit to it, as I stated in the article. When you lose your rights WITHOUT any benefits, that's when people get pissy, and rightfully so.
In the case of sites like Steam and GOG, the prices stay low because there's a lot of competition in PC digital distribution. That isn't the case on consoles, where there's only ONE service per console. Services that have proven to be poor over the last generation, I ...
You really think it was the fault of the used games market that Tomb Raider, a game which sold over 3 million copies, was considered a failure? It was the bloated budgets and overly expensive marketing campaigns that caused TR to lose money.
When you're selling over 3 million copies of *anything* and not making a profit, there is something wrong with the process of making videogames at a fundamental level.
You ever notice how devs like From Software, who...
Prominent can mean either "important" or simply "well-known." If you asked your average gamer to name developers, Cliffy B would be right up there with Kojima, Cage and Molyneux, in terms of name recognition. Not to mention he developed one of the most popular and influential series of this generation.
I don't care for him all that much, especially with his constant corporate apologies, but whether you like him or his games, he's certainly prominen...
Nice to see plenty of people defending the use of 10/10 scores.
To a reviewer, a 10/10 doesn't mean the game is "perfect" or "flawless," it just means that the flaws are insignificant in the bigger picture. If the few minor flaws don't mar an otherwise incredible experience, you've got yourself a 10, and that's how I felt about Journey.
To say we can NEVER use the highest mark is ludicrous. If 10 is forbidden then 9 become...
Thank you :) Wasn't about yours but it seemed like the rest were attacking me for holding the same stance I was rallying against. Maybe I just misinterpreted.
Seems irrelevant now that the DRM has been removed xD
Guys, I agree with you. Read the article, instead of just reading the title. It's even right there in the summary!
Kojima has already stated on Twitter that the point of the character was to spark controversy. That's the entire point, he's demonstrating the themes of the game in real life. It's not sexist, it's just a big meta-game.
