It doesn't have to be one or the other. But I'm certainly not complaining about the great selection of single player games on PS4.
It's not about Microsoft, it's about whats best for Bluehole, they get to decide what consoles it releases on, it's their game.
I don't think it's even a year of exclusivity, I'm pretty sure it's just a deal where it just can't be on PS4 before it's "officially" released on xbox.

I think the winners here really emphasize that PlayStation owners actually do value exclusives. Outside of Sports and Multiplayer every category was won by exclusives.
Meh, w/e this game is fully pay to win. They really emphasized that with the Temple of the Nine update where the first boss is literally a pay gate. If you can't do enough damage before you run out of shield you lose regardless of how skilled you are and how well you execute it. And that pay gate is set to limit that excludes 95+% of all players and unless you want to spend your life grinding (like 8 hours a day for many many months) getting to that 95% is hundreds if not thousands of ...

Down in Sony's case is selling more than 50% of the amount of consoles your nearest competitor sold all year in just 6 weeks.
BTW Sony's yearly sales are nearly 3,000,000 ahead of last year. So if I was you I wouldn't shed so many tears over 300,000 consoles in the holiday season.

The PS4 Pro did sell out at most retailers. At Amazon it was sold out regularly during the holidays last year and into the early part of 2017. I know because I wanted to get mine in February and it was sold out on Amazon and I had to wait for shipment.
It doesn't seem like it would take much to go to a web page and see if they are available.
