Do you even realize what the problem is? The PS Vita was never a "legacy Platform" in the first place, that's the problem; and yet articles like this uses Sony's misused description all the time. Sony already clarified that's not what they meant.
I'm so tired of hearing this shit over and over again. The PS Vita system they are referring to as "Legacy Platform" is just the 1000 model not the 2000 model and The PS TV, Sony has already clarified that. Everyone is supposed to be accurate when making articles like this, but they keep making that stupid mistake.
I said "lack of western 3rd party support". In the last few years of the PSP we still got Japanese 3rd party games like Kingdom Hearts, Dissidia, Metal Gear Solid, etc. Aside from 1st party games theres really not much western 3rd party games. You do need a memory card for games that needs data install.
After three years after launch, western support for the PSP dwindled. But what made the PSP great is that it received first party games and localized Japanese games. The PS Vita has little of both; almost no first party support, and games like Phantasy Star Nova, Gods Eater 2, Tales of Innocence, Digimon Cyber Sleuth, Ys, and Legend of Heroes are still not confirmed to be coming to the west. You've got to wonder why they mishandled this when both the PSP and the PS Vita has the exact same...
We need more AAA Horror games. Indie Horror games are filled with (lazy) jump scares and have little content in them (same enemies and environments most of the time).
