Why? It's amazing to see ps4 pro holding 30 fps RT enabled vs one x. I guess that rapid packed math was actually a thing considering how underpowered the pro is vs the one x.
From a performance standpoint I give next gen software RT to PS5 considering the CPU is clocked significantly higher than series x.
They mentioned how cpu intensive this form of RT is. Looks great.

Once PS5 releases it will be torn down completely and copied... until then nobody knows exactly how it works...so yes nobody will catch up until at least 6 months after PS5 release.
