While i love XBL i'm basically paying £35 per year for party mode and cross game chat as those are the main features that i believe are needed on PSN.
At the moment it's worth the money because it has those features over PSN, but if/when PSN gets those features thats the day i will stop paying.
If you can afford both buy both, simple.
Even though the 360 is the machine i play most the PS3 has some exclusives everyone should play. Can't wait for uncharted 2!
This is why i love turn 10, the customization you just don't get in other games and they are always pushing the bar when it comes to community features.

I am a massive Gran Turismo fan and will be purchasing number 5 on release but Forza just has so much customization and freedom to do what you want with the cars. Not to mention the brilliant online functions, really can't wait for this game.
I have played terminator and it's by no means a terrible game at all and while it is short there are far worse games.
The N64 above the SNES? not in my opinion.
SNES is my favorite console of all time so many quality games, after the SNES it would be the PS2 followed by the Dreamcast.
I started PC gaming back in 1999 with quake 3 and have been hooked since, i own a 360 and PS3 but it's just not the same although XBL seems to be getting nearer and nearer to bulding the community present in PC gaming.
You cannot beat a mouse and keyboard for FPS but the costs for upgrading are just too high now.
I like PSN, for free who can complain.
XBL is better but it should be because MS charge you for it, in my opinion if PSN had a party mode and cross game chat it would be very hard for MS to justify the cost.
Yeah i agree with some of that.
I think with silver you should be able to play MP and use gold for additional features and maybe a discount on arcade games and downloadable content or even better demos of games or something.
I do pay a yearly fee for XBL because its just so much easier for me to get friends in to the same game in seconds.

Indeed, i'll be picking up GT5 and Forza 3 both games have things the other doesn't.
Only the fanboys will be missing out.
PSN has come a long way and i find if i'm playing on my own it's perfectly fine and i enjoy my game.
The problems arise when i try and get me and a few friends to play a game together, thats where XBL has the advantage. The party system and cross game chat is what PSN needs but for free who can complain.
I expect these extras from XBL as i am paying for it so it should be a better service and at the moment is, but not by much.
I'm on my 2nd PS3(had it 6 months) and 2nd xbox 360 (had since release).
My ps3 was replaced and my xbox fixed under warranty.

I know you can hook up your pc to a HDTV but it would be really uncomfortable to use a keyboard and mouse sitting on your sofa. In my opinion all FPS and Strategy games play better with keyboard and mouse even though i only really play FPS myself.
i love pc gaming as i said, i've been playing since quake 2 a long long time ago, but it is slowing down now with consoles being cheaper and more convenient for most.
By the look of it the game was running in no damage mode, you can set your level of damage etc so new gamers can enjoy a race without hitting the first corner and then having an undriveable car for the rest of the race.
It's all about what games you like.
Even though i own 9 PS3 games for me the 360 has more of the games i like which are FPS and racing games. plus the other little things like the controller and XBL, but my best friend has both and he likes the PS3 better.
