hopefully it'll let people branch out. WoW is a good game, but there are others that are just as good, but they lack too much of the main ingredient in the MMO recipe; players.

Tbh, if the game is moddable on the PC, i won't be bothered as much.
If that happened then you would have just given Namco the window of DLC. In the end there would be more than a few people to 'miss' their missing characters, giving Namco the go a head to shuv DLC down the throat.

The day i got Unreal Tournament 3 and the opening cinematic played, what did i see?
I saw the main character that
a) Had a very similar beard to Dom in Gears.
b) Was wearing oh-so similar goggles to what Baird wears...In Gears
c) Was ALSO wearing a trenchcoat with remarkable similarities to the Locust Theron Guards in *Cough* GOW.

If i was to play an fps on PC, it would have to be Regular, If i were to boot up a Halo game on console, it would have to be regular, HOWEVER...if i were to fire up Timesplitters, there be no way i could do it other than IRREGULAR.

That's a good example. Thing is, many people got Portal within the Orange Box so the value behind it (when taking into account all the other games) is sound.
If i bought Portal on it's own, i may have liked it but would still have been ticked by it being so short. Having said that...Portal was not sold for the standard '£40 new game' price i think.

I didnt buy Splinter cell conviction because the campaign was 5 hours long. Does that make me stupid? No. It means i'm wise enough not to be swindled. If Chaos theory could could come out with a longer campaign, Co-Op, AND Multiplayer, then there be no excuses for it not to happen today.
On another note it does piss off the user when a game is released with say a 5 hour campaign, (full price_ only to learn that there's a horde of DLC in the wings that should have been...

Both very sentimental games to me.
