DRM, forced always online, forced Kinect bundle, $499 starting price of Xbox one at luanch.. etc. Microsoft has built quite the rep for themselves, and its not a good one.

Why anyone would find this surprising is beyond me. It's been well known that the PS4/pro is the lead platform for development of this game. The lead platform more often than not turns out to have the superior version of a game.

The games you mentioned; FF7, MGS, xenogears, ect, were important, and genre defining. But the days of the PSone are long gone.
