It’s hard to quantify it. I’ve got three mates that took out Gamepass in anticipation of this game, one of which paid the £35 for the premium upgrade (as did I). Whichever way you look at it this is a great success for MS and Playground, and a win for gamers!
Steam Deck is comparable to PS4/X1 so you’re probably looking at 30fps even at 720p which is fine by me.
Driving line fully off IMO, and I also favour Performance mode, doesn’t seem like much of a drop in fidelity.
It fills a niche on PC though. I mainly play iRacing but for a mess about away from serious sim racing FH is great fun.
By the time they leave there’s a new version out so not sure there’s any issue?

Hollow Knight was my introduction to the genre and I’d recommend it to anybody! I’m in my 40’s, rarely see any game through to completion nowadays yet this had me totally hooked and finishing it was one of my most enjoyable gaming experiences I can remember! I think that’s a great recommendation for newcomers to the genre. Since then I’ve actually struggled to get into other metroidvanias, the only other one I’d really recommend is Ori.

It’s not just the visuals though, the gameplay is gonna feel archaic. The pull of nostalgia makes me want to try it but I just know I’ll drop off it pretty quickly.
