Maybe not, but a new single player episode could. If it happens, I just hope it's not going to be a Nintendo exclusive.
When poeple play The Walking Dead, they're not looking for action. When people play CoD, they're no looking for narrative. The thing is they know how they want to be entertained and have the choice to choose whatever suits them most. Plus, you seem to forget that writing isn't just about the narrative. You don't necessarily need an overly complex story to make a good and engaging game. Journey or Ico/Shadow of the Colossus have proven that.
I can't wait to see what Sony pulled off with the PS4 apart from hardware upgrades. I'm sure they'll manage to keep skeptical interested and the others excited. And with Versus XIII, The Last Guardian and The Phantom Pain thing suddenly popping out of nowhere, I bet this is going to be one night to remember.
I think the dumbest move from Ubisoft was to annouce the game as a Wii U exclusive in the first place. I mean, everybody enjoyed Origins which was multiplat but the game wasn't a commercial success at all. Anyway, I'm glad PS3/360 owners will be able to play Legends, which looks amazing.
Next time he'll think twice before lying to the consumers.
Why is that ? If the game is to be released on both current and next gen consoles, then you'll be able to choose the system you want to play it on, and everybody will be happy.
I'm happy they have great ambitions. The Dark Descent is one of the scariest games of all time and this one is appearently going to set the bar even higher !
I love to debate with people who have solid arguments and know how to defend them without being disrespectul. Who cares about angry kids or frustrated dumb pseudo-gamers ? Ignore them and the problem is solved.
Sony revealing the PS4 tomorrow, I guess this is the perfect timing for Ubisoft to confirm AC 4 is a next-gen title.
They sure know how to use words efficiently, but the only thing concrete they showed so far was a 4 min making-of with a few seconds of in-game footage. That's pretty weak for somehting they've been developping for such a long time now. Show us more before making such statements.
I will wait to play the game myself to have my own opinion but Platinum Games has already proven to be an extremely talented studio. I'm glad they get the recognition they deserve, once again.
This is not the game's fault if you suck at it.
Instead of making a HD remake of a handheld game, they should put their efforts into making a proper HD episode based on what made Revelations the only good Resident Evil in years. I guess this is too much to ask for the lazy and greed devs they've become.
Journalists didn't develop the game, they just fueled the hype, accidentaly or purposedly. It's up to the gamers to either blindly buy the hype or remain cautious. Latest previews and hands-on were a lot less enthusiastic than the early ones. Plus, the game suffered from a chaotic development. There were lots of elements that could give us an insight of the quality of the final game.
Absolutely. And in addition to being reliable and talented, they're also very humble. Some devs should take note.
The author couldn't have been more dramatic.
I tried to get past the first paragraph. I failed.
The huge amout of amazing games that privilege gameplay over graphics makes this statement utterly irrelevant.
Gross.
I absolutely loved the trailer of The Phantom Pain. It was so creepy and intriguing and in a way I wished it was a game of its own. But I'm more than ready for a MGS game. Please bring it on tonight !
