AND it tells a story between four friends shouldering the responsibility of saving a kingdom.

Yeah not only is the gameplay absolutely barebones, the story itself is nothing special.
It's another David Cage shovelware.
His voice was strong and amazing. He was never afraid to call out crappy games no matter how hyped they were.
He admired games for creative art direction, mechanics and innovation.

Multiplayer games have huge issues.
1) Can't play offline.
2) Can't play if the servers shut down.
3) The combat system is very weak. In games like doom you can carry 6 weapons.But in mp games you are usually restricted to 2.
4) No story content.
5) No well designed levels or world.
6) No bosses.
7) Mandatory patches.
8) Can't cheat. Cheating has severe punishment.
All of these restrictions ...
