I would have to disagree LesterCorncrake. I have both systems and love my PS3 as an entertainment system, but prefer my Xbox 360 to game on. Like the controllers better too. I am more about gaming online and like LIVE much better. Of course this is just my opinion and not fanboyism since I do play both systems.

If the majority of your friends won't upgrade to a premium service then they need to be out getting a freakin job. It's like a couple bucks a month. I have both the XBOX and PS3 and use xbox live pretty heavily. I will probably still upgrade to a PS3 premium service even though I wouldn't use it that much. What will it run me....a couple cups of coffee a month! Big Deal.

Even though I agree with you all, I would probably still keep live. Everyone forgets that there are a lot of games on PC that you pay that much just for that game, such as Star Wars Galaxies, World of Warcraft and many others.
I hope it doesn't come down to making a decision whether or not to keep Live for everyone.
