I'm glad to see that people are finally thinking a bit more deeply about games.
There is no definite one good direction to a game, and everyone likes different directions. Sometimes I feel like a good engrossing storyline, but most of the time, I really just need imagination to fill in the gaps, and the gameplay is what counts.
