A couple of times i've heard things in games or music while wearing them that i'd never noticed on my 5.1 home theater setup.

come on a motherboard is at least 150$ for a good one, a case is 100$, again a good psu 100$ or more.
that's already 850$ with the 500$ you mentioned, now add a little bit of taxe and or shipping cost and you're already in the 1000 mark. don't forget about your legal copy of windows too. oh and you need an hard drive as well to store your games, 1Tb is what 52$?

Hmm i'm not too sure about that, I got the exact setup but my i5 is oc'ed to 4ghz and I couldn't keep a constant 60fps in watchdog with everything maxed at 1080.
What kind of frame per second will he get with that setup?
Maybe he only has a ps4?

I started the souls series a couple of months before dark souls 2 came out on pc, started with demon's souls and then finished dark souls just in time for the release of dk2.

My Pc is next to my hdtv, so when i'm not gaming on my 144hz monitor i just switch to the 52 inch hdtv. And i'm doing the same thing with my ps4, sometimes its on the big screen and sometimes (when my gf or the kids are watching tv) on my pc monitor.
