i dont see how the answer is in the question... the game is the exact same style as a jrpg like dragon warrior or earthbound.

actually TLoU has a very good multiplayer option.
what sucks is when games do both well, one mode ends up getting shafted... look at GTAV and TLoU both great games in both modes yet few ppl play GTAV offline anymore and TLoUs multiplayer is hardly ever even talked about.
i prefer multiplayer be an option all the time, even stupid modes like Mario Galaxys star pointing bullshit is better than nothing when you have a little brother or son who enjoys gaming with you.

well to manage the time in my life between i split up my days/weeks with work, productive time and chill time
being entertained might count for your being productive or working but for me a life long gamer who doesnt even watch tv or sports, it would massively throw off my lifes balance for the worse if i thought my time maintaining my property, body and assests is wasting time the same way as playing video games.

youre being defensive and irrational, sports and TV can be time wasters too and that wouldn't make gaming any more or less of a waste of time either.
i think acknowledging that entertainment can be a waste of time is fundamental in finding s balance between vices that dont harm us but wed prolly be less happy without and still leading productive fullfilling lives.

as we all are hating on games as a service remember WoW was a full priced game with full priced expansions and a subscription cost. and it was very successful critically and commercially.
the difference is every aspect of wow was amazing compared to other MMOs and kept getting better and better (until wrath anyway)
basically imo GaaS arent inheritly bad, but all of the GaaS on consoles that ive tried have just been weak half assed games.
