Thats such an odd gamepass way of thinking. That indies gotta be on a subscription to do well and be noticed. Theres been hundreds of successful indies maybe even thousands.

Your subscription comment just baffles me and sounds like ms pr

For every 20 games that come out like that how often do they stick. Id guess 1.

Make a single player game without trying to nickel and dime people and youll typically get some form of love. Unless the game is real real bad.

Good point. Dumb casuals being sold on everything

Dumb. They could have lined up to be a safe haven for those of us that still prefer physical games. Instead they find some dumb way to jump on the bandwagon. Good luck to all the digital people that get their games taken away by companies for whatever reasons. Ie ubisoft

@lordofthecritics

Lol your funny. Younger people want to waste less time. When most are not buried face in phone their watching others play games.

@luckytrouble

What about dragon quest 11. Far as i know it sold pretty damn good and its turn based. It can still be done. Final fantasy would still sell well being turn based. I cant be the only one out there that damn near almost didnt play ff15 until the royal edition was on sale for 15 dollars. If it was turn based and more ff like it would of been day one for me. dq11 was day one and it was great. Way better then any ff ive played since 9

I just not...

@neutralgamer1992

Can you explain why the highest selling final fantasy us turn based if its so bad?

Also keep in mind the amount of gamers back then is dwarfed by the amount of people that play games these days.

I dont think sony is doing it like o well screw physical media. Sony was the first to let these limited companies make games physically with low print runs. Nintendo did after sony was letting it be done and xbox wants like 75000 minium for a print run. I believe ive read that about xbox. Ive seen sony print runs going as low as 1000 copies.

That alone i dont think sonys at war with physical media. The gow thing is a dumb decision by whoever made it but i dont think th...

I enjoyed dq 11 more then i have enjoyed a ff game since ff9. Dq11 was damn near perfect

Your exactly right crimson

1444d ago 4 agree0 disagreeView comment

Theres not enough turn based coming out to even tell if turn based will sell. Come on square put it back in ff.

Or atleast design it so you can choose

1444d ago 3 agree5 disagreeView comment

If you make a ff turn based these days maybe it will still sell well. They never really tried.

Its a slap in the face. Ff 16 they can keep it

Thats been clear for sometime. I just think not all but younger people dont have the attention span that us older people had when we were kids. Especially with their phones.

I knew that was the exact reason. Well square your starting to lose some of us that prefer turn based

So that tells me it wont even have a overworld map. Itll be just like ff10. Whuch imo was the worst part of ff10 the cheap way you moved town to town

1444d ago 1 agree2 disagreeView comment

I remember the president of square said japanese devs shouldnt just copy western devs or something like that. Well they kinda have with all the action games they put out anymore.

1444d ago 4 agree1 disagreeView comment

FF7 r wouldve been 100 if it wouldve included a real turn based battle system. I feel they are gonna cheap out with the overworld map in ff7r 2. Just a gut feeling. Square used to be on it. They couldnt miss. Anything from them lately though eh. I did like lost sphear, and I am setsuna but I think they were just published by square.

Id prefer an overworld. Its one of the things new ff games just are missing. An overworld in a jrpg is a pretty big deal to me.

Id also like them to bring back turn based battles Please do it for atleast a few new games. Not everything has to be mindless action with a couple cute moves. Id be alright with random encounters or running into the enemy. Id prfer random but I can live without it.
