Theres nothing wrong with a game feeling familiar and games dont need to re invent themselves with every iteration though . If it aint broke dont fix it. Reason why I dont like resident eveil anymore or final fantasy for the most part they changed everything I loved about them and at one point they were my favorite franchises. I hate how ff has changed due to the instant gratification and low attention spanned younger gamers.

Ill be hinest I think elden ring got alot of hype because its one of the biggest games xbox had this year. Im not saying anything bad about the game though.

Not completely especially if your an older gamer like me and some others wasnt much narrative on Atari and alot of old nes games. It wasnt until snes for the most part that narratives got way way better. Don't get me wrong it was present during all of gaming but you had to use your imagination alot. Hope that makes sense.

Funny two of the best games of the year by most people i dont mess with either. I played the first gow and not much of it, bought elden ring and decided it isnt my type of game . Not difficulty wise just setting. Like if that wouldve been a sci game Idda been all over it. Ill give it another chance someday. Gow on the other hand im partially interested I here nothing but good things about the series but I just never got back into trying them. ...

I'm more of a Playstation guy easily but I'll still say this and a fallout game sprinkled with a little wasteland or something and I'll get the new Xbox. I have a Xbox one but idk how or if this will even be. I'm definitely more into science fiction then medieval type rpgs.

Not true at all. Cod is the biggest game but I'm not into Playstation cause call of duty. Most probably don't buy it for cod they do play cod but not because they bought the system for it specifically

If the switch gimps a game don't release it there. Speaking some of these smaller jrpg games being only on switch blows. Dq treasure hunters. I loved every bit of dq11(ps4) and wonder why that's only being released on switch. I bought the first dq11 and then bought the definitve edition when that came out on ps4. Not cool Square
This isn't quite true at all. Another of games when you add in the indies still don't need updates out the box. Some indies don't even release on disc until sometime after og release.

To knock a game for being familiar just seems cheap af to me. Ill add I dont really mess with either game never got into gow and elden ring I just dont like the settings(not just elden ring but other medieval typegames)
