Eh to the article. I think its a bigger deal then the writer is making it out to be. Activision is the biggest game publisher in the whole world. To bring up square, Bandai, and others is irrelevant really. As a company ms has more studios and money then sony. Ms is not the small guy . Ms should just hire some people for those studios that make games. I think I read Ms has 23 studios while Sony has 18.

Ms is buying a publisher. This publishers owns 100s to 1000s of ips, no shit if the deal goes through ms would then be the publisher.
That's the point though to show sony buying 1 studio to ms buying 1 publisher isn't equal. Ms trying to play the small guy role. They have more studios then Sony before Activision. They also have more money then Sony and Ninte...
Ms has had exclusive third party games as well. Ms made a deal where a tales games couldn't be released in the u.s. and only for the 360 was it released.
This is also out for ps and Xbox.
