I remember fallout 3 and assassins creed came out close to the same time back when. I bought both. I played assassins creeds and didn't really care for it. I've tried Valhalla, origins, and odyssey and still don't like them. Something about them just isn't for me. Origins would've been the closest for me since I enjoy the time period. Sh anyway I ended up stopping the or ass creed and played fallout 3 instead.
I'm with you fox. My words about ff16 are pretty known around but in the end I did enjoy it. I just yearn for more of the old school, call me gramps, old wtf ever you want. No ff to this day has been able to touch how good those old school ones were(imo 6 through 9 even 10).
