Stay woke we are still in 7th gen just 1080p and paid online no custom soundtracks maybe we are in semi 6-7-8gen
Same here I was going to skip this gen because it just dosent standout like previous console gens(my opinion)But when ps4 pro was advertised I thought now its the time to give 8th gen a shot,I should have bought more games for my alienware alpha instead wasting my money on slightly sharper visuals texture filtering and frames that try to hit 60 but cant paid online 8th gen is horrible

Omg we finally agree gen 8 is gen 7 I told yall this since 2013 ps3 and 360 could run almost everything the psr and x1 ran with the same polygon count at 720p lower settings.Thats crazy its like the 7th gen continued in 1080p better textures,we use to see a higher polygon count since we moved to 3 dimensional space in gameing.Look at ps one boxy characters compared ps2 detailed charecthers who could move their face,then ps3 the polygin count got even higher fight night round 3 on ps3 doesn...
Except on the X produces better textures,Textures are more important than rez to me
Horizon also looks just as incredible on base ps4 hardware
Doesn't feel like a mid gen upgrade but it's the best Ps4 you can buy
Ps3 was more of a impressive console,8th gen is a half step gen
This console generation was the weakest upgrade from it predecessors I have ever seen since the jump from Nintendo to super Nintendo

That's basically what's happening here. There is no REMASTER they are just repackaging the game with higher-resolution textures, cranked up particle and lighting effects, slightly increased draw distance, and if you're lucky, it'll load faster.

How many console players can't wait to play this again? I mean ps3 and 360 probably have it for dirt cheap by now if 1080p isn't a big deal for you,than 720p version should be fine those of you with the PC version your burn out will have new graphical options for you if you computer couldn't push it to 8k maybe your new pc will, you will not have to buy the game again if you own the PC version you tweak the graphics for what u want. remember play games not resolutions

Off subject hooked my 360 and ps3 up to my 4k tv and enjoyed the upscaled visuals, I'm starting to wonder if ps4 and x1 were rushed and thatsvwhy we needed a red aka console refresh

I agree Xbox one and ps4 were rushed out the graphic leap from those systems were more like a 1080p upgrade so many last gen games ran at the same speed(fps)as they did on Ps3 and 360.
Now I see thw importance of having the disc although games release incomplete these days and need several patches requiring an internet connection
