Sorry, it was extremely dull for me. I think most of the anger comes from the fact it wasn't really the media who hyped the game up, it was Ubisoft and their lies.
It kind of reminds me of the hype Fable received.

Planetside 2 on PS4 because I suck using mouse and keyboard.
Halo 2 MP in MC collection because it's the greatest multiplayer experience ever.

Loved Halo but have realistic hopes for Destiny. It just doesn't interest me at the minute, I'll pick it up though at some point.
I don't think 'score' is relevant considering how corrupt I imagine big gaming sites are. Couple of backhand dollars from Microsoft and boom, Titanfall is a hit!
Joking aside, they were both average games. inFamous was laborious at times, with repetitive sequences which bored me to tears. Titanfall was just a CoD clone with Mechs.
The thing is that the actual core gameplay in Titanfall is great. It's hindered by poor matchmaking and more specifically a lack of ranking system and of course no single player.
It's fun but it has no depth, the type of crowd it was intended for are all CoD playing idiots who couldn't care less about any other game. It simply was not unique enough to stand out from the crowd. That being said it did have promise and Titanfall 2 should be multi-platform and a hell ...
The argument was that Halo was and still is the killer app for Microsoft, which after 13 years is surely testament to the lack of huge, blockbuster games it has to offer.
It's basically in a fight for second place. PS4 has this gen wrapped up
