Personally, I can care less who makes the product, but I do expect the product to last. If buying another countries supplies means that I get the best overall quality, I will buy that product every time. In fact, I would be continually pissed off asking the question on why my countries product is not as reliable as the competition. Oh yeah, I know the answer to that. It isn't that we don't have the engineer's to make it happen here in the USA, but it isn't the engineer's w...
On the WiiU, I wish Nintendo the best of luck. Nintendo doesn't need the flashy CPU's or GPU's to run Mario or Zelda rehashes, but it does need something to get support from the third party publishers.
The biggest question that I have for Nintendo is, what are you going to do when the 3rd party developers dump the WiiU and move on to the next gen consoles? To me, Nintendo is banking on getting out there first, but many 3rd party developers are talking about PS4 a...
Lets be honest, the Wii only proved that it could get the people who have never or don't play games to buy their console. Just ask Microsoft, before the Kinect launch, Microsoft was sinking in sales. After Kinect launched, Microsoft has taken over sales in the US. Now ask yourself, does the Kinect make the Hardcore experience any better (is Halo any good with Kinect)? Exactly my point. No it doesn't, but the parents and small kids love it. The response I get from many of my family mem...
Gimmicks are what casual gamers buy. Hate me, but it's true. Almost 100 millions consoles sold (Wii). I have family that has never owned a video game console or never played a game in their life. In fact, these same individuals told me to get a life and that I was a loser.
No, I don't play Halo or CoD, but I still play action/ RPG and many other games in different genres. However, I wil not play the 100th rehash of mario or zelda. Also, I refuse to rebuy games that I...
I was 7 years old when the first NES was released with the Robot and Gyromite. From there I owned the SNES and the N64, but Nintendo could not meet the adult demands that Sony provided. After christmas of 1998, I have not played a Nintendo product. I welcome Nintendo to the HD generation of consoles, and like mentioned above, grandma, grandpa, the little kiddies, and the casual nostalgic gamer need Nintendo too. Will Nintendo sell some consoles? Sure. Will they get my dollars? No.

The developers these days are taking advantage of us the gamers. With the on disc DLC, season passes, and online passes, the games are becoming shorter and shorter, but more expensive. Some console makers are dictating that all games have some kind of multiplayer aspect to their games in order for them to justify the price of their online service. For developers to meet this demand, their games are being pushed back further and further (Bioshock Infinite for example), and the single player co...
"9 out of 10 games on your list are perfect games for a casual gamer" Everyone has their own opinion about who a casual gamer is. While we are talking about it, my opinion of a casual gamer is anyone still playing a Wii or someone who plays on a mobile platform (ex - mobile phones). Any single player game over 10 - 20 hours is hardcore, and any game with a robust online offering is hardcore. If you want to make a name for yourself, go find games like Demon souls or dark souls to see...
I agree with you there. There are still plenty of games to be played this generation. Gamefly keeps me pretty busy these days with their 15 dollar blowout on all used games (in fact, there is one going on right now ps3 xbox wii).
Every gamer worth their salt should be against On- Disc DLC and season passes. With our wallets, we are telling developers that we want more games with less content and a cheesy multiplayer. Capcom, EA, and Activision are the worst.
Developers need to finish games and stop caving into the demands of the publishers. Stop offering in game rewards as DLC. Example: The colors for the Street Fighter characters could be earned through single player prowess through the story mode. When you ...
Second Sony Flamebait article that I have seen this week, congratulations. Sounds like Sony haters are getting paranoid. When Sony does decide when to release the new Playstation, I am sure there will be plenty of buyers. In my opinion, there is alot of gaming left on the PS3 to be had so why release a new system? Sony will lead all console sales by the end of this generation. It make take 10 years, but the W is all that matters, lol. Microsoft took Sega's place when they left, and Ninten...
Haven't played a Mario game since Mario 64. I'm 33 years old, and I have played Mario since Donkey Kong back in the Arcade days. Nintendo is doing a great job re-hashing and re-packaging their catalog for the new adopters and old school. You have to look past everything they have created to really appreciate Nintendo. In my opinion, Nintendo is like Disney, everyone knows their characters. Like Disney, they rehash the originals when a new platform is created. For that, Nintendo will n...
Why do we keep bringing this game up for a sequel? I got this game from Gamefly for 10 dollars, and I still felt like I got robbed. The jumps were short most of the time, and it was a very buggy game. Developers please don't waste your time and make a better original IP that is not a FPS, thanks.
The game was too buggy, and I am glad that EA hasn't announced a sequel. I am sure the sale numbers pretty much explain the games fate. If it makes anyone feel better, it was worth the 10 dollars I paid for it on Gamefly used.
I enjoyed Castlevania LoS, and I hope with the technology that we currently have that they will continue to make these type of games. I'm not saying that I did not enjoy Symphony of the Night or Aria of Sorrow, but this series needs an action/ adventure/ slash/ story to open up the history on the series. I have been a fan of Castlevania since 1986, and my favorite version until LoS was Castlevania 2 Simons quest. Also, Lament of Innocence was good too. The main problem that I have with st...
I wouldn't say that I gave up on Nintendo, but I haven't played a Mario game since Mario 64. In my later years, I prefer a rich and mature story.
It's a fact. The 360 does not have but a few exclusives to the console (games that are for 360 and windows are not exclusives). In fact, I am still playing many of Sony's exclusives, and I have not had time to play many of the multiplats released this year.
Lets not kid ourselves here. Microsoft has a great marketing department. For example, lets look at the holidays. Sony is cheaper than the 360 by 50 dollars, but Microsoft still manages to blow Sony out of the water in the US with 900k plus sales for the week of Thanksgiving. Why? It's simple, because they know people in the US make purchases around holidays and that it is the time of year to create the deals or bundles to get people buying their system. I believe the deal Microsoft create...
From what I understood from an article similar to this one that was posted a few days ago on n4g off of Sony's site, is that Sony was going to limit the amount of sharing from 5 to 2 consoles. However, Sony was going to develop a tool that allowed the user to add and remove systems that are tied to the PSN account. At the moment, the only way to get a system removed that you no longer own is to call Sony customer service and have Sony remove it. Otherwise, when you log into the Qriosity (...
Yeah, because there are thralls of gamers who want to play ME and ME2 on their PC according to the NPD and Vgchartz. Also, let me know how exclusives like God of War 3 and Uncharted 3 look on your PC. Oops, the PC needs to be upgraded again because it is outdated for Crysis 3 when drops. Don't explain to me about the PC played MMO's on it for ages. It's dead, and if you are paying for Xbox live...... I'll save that for another comment.

I agree with that statement. However, you forgot to add the success of the kinect. Without the casuals, this amount of momentum would have never happened. Looking at the numbers before the Kinect released, Microsoft was slowly dying. Now that the Wii has waned with the casuals here in the US, Microsoft's Kinect has become the new "IT". Grats to Microsoft on the foresight to revitalize their brand because the hardcore blindly follow them anywhere.
