well luckily Sony was successful to keep hackers away for first 4 years of the ps3 lifecycle and then when it got hacked at 3.55, again they were able to fully secure it with just one update 3.60 for another 3 years.

nopes. this will give you access to put pirated dlc's and psn games to the hdd but will not enable homebrew.
And also now anyone can use super slims or any other ps3 to hack online games very easily sadly, before it was only possible on modded consoles.
