Building on the early "Stranger" boss battle, I want to see some next-gen physics combined with the environmental destruction seen in that fight. I loved how the earth cracked open when they were locked up...feet dug into the ground. Better lighting, insane character models. My body will not be ready! *lolz*

CDPR already said early on they were building CP 2077 with next gen in mind. I am almost sure they will add textures, lighting, RT, and frame rates that will make use of the higher spec consoles. Probably be a heavy patch like they did...but even bigger...than when they upgraded Witcher 3.

I agree that it takes several years for developers to fully optimize the power of a console. But the earlier you start...the better dev's hit the ground running. That is what Guerilla Games did with KZ Shadowfall. If I am not mistaken, that was the first iteration of the Decima engine that was further built upon for Horizon Zero Dawn and later Death Stranding at the end of the PS4's life cycle. KZ Shadowfall was not cross-gen with PS3.

100% agree! A next gen's primary function is to raise the bar and provide a more expansive canvas for developers (which Sony has in spades) to bring their creations to life. Its ability to add higher frame rates, apply better textures or add ray tracing to older games is secondary...arguably tertiary. I want to see what I paid for. As long as you have to code to the lowest common denominator...aka the XB1....it will hamstring development on all related ports. M$ spin is amazing. It's ...

I have no doubt ND is going to deliver on TLOU2. What I think we may be sleeping on is the scale of the MP they are building for a separate release later: TLOU: Factons. Take the aspects of the meta game that was a part of MP in TLOU and fully flesh it out. Build, design and manage your camp. Recruit members, appropriate resources, hunt and raid other player's camps for food, supplies and parts to craft weapons & gear. Concoct medicines to fight disease.

There is a...

The same could be asked about music. What one person defines as music could be completely annoying to another. Although DS is generalized as a "game", I can understand that it does not necessarily need to be "fun". I think DS is more about the overall journey and the story that ties it all together. It has been intentionally designed to allow the players' mind time to feel alone, isolated and contemplate things. Kojima said himself that he is creating a new genre with ...

I see Hideo as an artist. He defines what he will be at any given time. Write...create games...eventually movies or short films. This is a man that cannot be put in a box. I have nothing but respect for his ability to provide and leverage his brand of creativity across a spectrum of mediums. I "get" Kojima's work, but completely respect how others may not vibe with his style.

I've been wanting BP to remake MGS! I see potentially 4 references:

1. "Not one but two return" = Solid/Liquid Snake.
2. "...from Shadow" = Shadow Moses Island.
3."...soft from solid" = Solid Snake.
4"...a metal Halloween" = Metal Gear.

Maybe I'm reaching a little *lol*

When GG finally does circle back to Killzone, I think they are really going to blow us away. Keep the best parts of it...KZ2 influences, new tech, build on AI and weighty feel of movement & weapons. Build & expand world with solid writing for campaign with engaging characters. 4K/HDR/60fps. Yup...I'd be down!

Since the PS5 hardware reveal is probably Feb...maybe E3 at the latest, it would be awesome if they announce PS5 patches for DS, Last of Us 2 and maybe GoT free of charge with footage of the upgrades over current gen. No need to purchase games twice.

Sweet baby Jesus. Kojima's cinematics have always been one of his best traits...but I think he's outdone himself here. Kudos for him challenging the status quo of what a "game" can be. Pumped for 11/8!

If that "mini boss" battle with all the red leaves falling is any indication, I can't wait to see some of the major boss battles. I need to see one in a bamboo forest...and one on top of a tall pagoda with giant moon in the background with clouds...full HDR kicking in! Maybe a little cliche but still want.

Agree! Another approach is to possibly limit the number of players that can pick the sniper class. It's abysmal playing modes like ground war where you get nothing but players posted along the outer ridge and standing in the corner of every window. Tanks shouldn't be allowed to access that ridge either. The sightlines just allow them to park and pick off players with little cover to take them out.

Dark Edition reserved and excited to pick it up in a couple hours. Got the day off to dig into it. Beta showed promise and looking forward to checking out the updates, other maps and campaign. I typically play BF for my MP fix, so hats off to the COD folks for implementing new elements such as the updated engine and add'l models to entice my buy while keeping the tight, responsive & beautifully customizable gunplay. Kudos!

Clarification: not suggesting anyone should ever pay anything near $1k for the new consoles...just stating for comparison what many are willing to put out for tech (smartphones) that refresh at a much higher rate than consoles.

I say $549.99 to $599.99 tops. Hey, if I put out for the OG PS3...I can put out for this beast. I really enjoy gaming as a hobby and am willing to pay for a great experience as long as the hardware's performance justifies it. If many people are willing to spend damn near $1k for a phone...why not this? In general, people will pay for what's important to them.

1. I would love to see BluePoint remake MGS on the new hardware.
2. Warhawk needs to be revived...some of the most intense MP matches. Would love to see that world expanded upon.
3. M.A.G. is another game that was ahead of it's time. Modern tech would do this IP justice. I really appreciated how capping different points on the map actually impacted gameplay.
4. Resistance. This take on alternate history along with Insomniac's creativity for weapons made for...

Agree. A product launch as huge and significant as the PS5 isn't approached loosely from top to bottom. Execs likely left knowing the project is in a good place. Any successful large corporation would have a business continuity plan to absorb departures like this, which are inevitably expected.

Depending on the timeline, I think Mamoa would do well as the younger version of Kratos. His stature suits it more due to his height and leaner build. His portrayal of Kahl Drogo is reason enough. His voice would fit. Kratos isn't a man of alot of words. Jason could definitely pull of the brooding and periods of rage Kratos would need. I think Bautista could do it as well...except the older Kratos as his build is thicker with less cut than a younger Kratos would have. Pair it w/ some dece...

With today's tech, I would love to see Warhawk get a proper sequal. Those were some intense matches! At the very least rebuild the game in the same vein as SoTC. Another game I would love to see revived under a capable studio is M.A.G. This was another highly ambitious game that was ahead of its time and would benefit from running on more powerful hardware.
