Well there are many people who only play Call of Duty, FIFA or Madden only and they don't need 160 or 320GB HDD. I'm sure it would boost PS3 sales right away if it's at 150 or 100 price point ($, £, €), plus changing HDD is not that hard and you can pretty much buy faster and bigger HDD for $50.

As you said, Conviciton sales were average so I hoped that Ubisoft might go back to classic style of SC, + I don't care about Agrees and Disagrees, on N4G it's nothing new, these people probably have never played previous Splinter Cell games, which were by the way awesome, Chaos Theory is by far the best, so go and pick up Splinter Cell HD Collection guys. Worth a buy.
PS3? Hells yeah, but game looks like Conviciton, well, we'll see. I would prefer Chaos Theory style, but I guess in todays casual player world, that would be too much to ask.
