I could care less about such things. I usually take the semi-automatic SRs and equip it them with a acog or something similar, and then I try to flank the enemy. It usually works quite well, and as a bonus the game lets your squad mates spawn next to you to increase the chances of gaining that objective.

Personally, I don't think it's rebranding. If memory serves me right, Square had to merge with Enix after they made spirits within, since that mediocre movie put them into the pits. Perhaps it's a separation or dissolving of the Enix part of the company.
It'll probably be the last scenes of Atelier Rorona. By the end of the game I got so attached to the characters I was so sad to see it end, and the emotions felt at the end when Astrid was leaving and Rorona pleading her master not to leave left such an impact on me. It was like the perfect capture of a pupil to master relationship... I guess.
