I know a lot of people who are trading-in GoW and their 360 for a PS3. Two guys I work with have already done it.
Cross-platform games only look better on the 360 currently due to a lack of experience programming on a PS3.

Yeah, you press down the left thumbstick (L3) in the default setup. Its actually a bonus in my mind since it really cuts down on the crappy chatter and american idol wannabes.
The system is very clear and concise.

Dare I say, you bought an early HDTV, live with the consequences. I bought a launch PS3, and if it explodes into a million pieces, I'm going to live with the consequences (and use that handy dandy warranty that Sony/EBGAMES gave me)
The point being, 1080i sets are OBSOLETE, and very much-so. Complaining because new hardware doesn't support obsolete and inferior hardware is hilarious. Blame the company, not yourself for not buying a newer HDTV in the last 2 years....

The attach rate will skyrocket as those PS3's go from the resellers to the buyers, and the buyers buy games for the console they just bought. Its only a temporary thing. In-fact, the same thing happened with the PS2 at launch.
Actually, its NOT an off-the-shelf part. Its substantially bigger than the equivelant PC design (noted when we got images of the PS3 main board). Its also believed that due to its size, its more akin to a G71, so its actually closer to (and possibly superior to) an Nvidia 7900 GTX.

The 1080p PS3 shot is definitely better than the 360 shot. Look at the shadows, the trees are actually casting individual shadows on the road, as opposed to the huge blocks of formless shadow on the 350. The reflections on the car are also much better, as well as the improved anti aliasing, probably mostly due to the higher resolution.

I remember the public outcry that Nintendo tried to induce when it was known that PS1 was going to use CD's. Sony was "forcing" gamers to buy into CD's when carts were perfectly fine. Nintendo has problems innovating in formats.
The other thing being, that 3-4 years down the line, will BD-DVD be better for games than regular DVD? Probably.

The reason Sony fans bring-up Japan so much is because there's quite a few Japanese game developers IN Japan. Essentially, whichever consoles do well in Japan, end-up with a horde of Japanese games, some of which can be translated and released in other regions. Without Japan, many games released on the PS1 wouldn't have become the mega-selling franchises they are today.
Sony sold more PS3's in Japan in 1 day than MS sold 360's in Japan over 7 months.
Both are going to keep gamers enthralled for longer than 10-12 hours... seeing as BOTH have multiplayer.
Considering more PS3's sold in a day in Japan than 360's sold in 7 months... Its pretty safe to assume that the PS3 is going to have a larger base in Japan than 360. Its also safe to assume that there will be more japanese dev support for it than 360. Oh snap.
Do you have any proof that the attach rate for PS3 didn't go-up? If you don't have anything directly contradicting the source, then well, you lose.
Do you have any proof that the "sold" numbers for the 360 are actually "sold"? You do realize that all hardware companies quote shipped numbers as sold right? So unless you have proof of otherwise, you lose.
