I tried doing this and it did not work. I actually got further before i did it.
i tried to call consumer support but i was waiting for 35 minutes on my cell phone. perhaps more people would be reporting it if they didnt. have to wait forever to talk to someone. if they are that busy with calls im surprised thats not what everyone is calling for.
my first GTA4 disc froze on the first mission.
restarted PS3 and beat first mission and froze on second.
called gamestop drove and got new copy.
then the new one froze up twice.
(little sobbing)
turned it back on and froze 3 min. later.
tried 2 more times and froze.
finally gave up.
Jealous of my friend playing on his ps3 and another on 360.
also this was on the 80gb has anyone else had trouble on this SKU.
this does not work i have tried all these little fixes and none work. I just returned my 3rd disc for a refund not another disc. I'm just going to wait it out.
