If YLOD is such a rare occurrence then why is the Playstation3 General forum on PSN constantly & consistently littered with "I got the YLOD" threads? Google PS3 YLOD & you'll get thousands of hits! Go to UTube & type in PS3 YLOD & you'll get tons of videos on how to self-repair the YLOD for your PS3! You people need to grow up.

To the people supporting Sony's BS.. I feel sorry for your children & the world that they are going to have to live in all because of your juvenile fanboyizim. 1. Ability to climb on buildings.
2. Stealth kills by sneaking around & catching enemies off guard.
3. While in the cover system waiting for enemies to pass by and choking them out.
4. Hand to hand combat system
5. Hang on ledges and shoot or grab an enemy to throw them off the ledge.
6. Cinema Mode which is like the one in halo 3 but taking it to another level of editing your matches.

Well I have both machines & XBL is much faster & seamless than PSN. But hey, we are comparing a software corporations on-line performance vs one who's strongpoint is hardware, what would you expect? To all the people that claim to have both systems & say other wise.. YOU KNOW YOUR LYING! ;)

The "PORNSTATION3!" Being 39 years old myself, I admit that It would be nice every once in a while too be able too purchase a mature HDD Blu-Ray title from the PSN store. But I believe parents across the world that chose to buy their children a PS3 over the competition would cry foul on Sony over something like this, Also, Sony's competitors would be quick to point this out & capitalize on It from a bad media standpoint of view. In short, this could be a bad move for Sony.
I wonder what features the PS3 would have If It weren't for MS entering the console race? Maybe no built-in HD, Trophies, PSN or even Home? I think that the PS3 would be a very different machine if It wasn't for the competition.
I NEVER power off my PS3 by the master switch in the back. I power it off properly, then when I see the red stand-by light I flick off the master switch just before I go to bed night.
