Actually no, the Wii U already has a mascot based, fantasy racer.
Use the money for something else.
Well, I rather Nintendo focus on another title/genre, the Wii U already have a mascot based-family friendly racing game (a very good one BTW), I still don't have a Wii U but I will eventually buy one and of the two games are on the market (MK8 and DKR) I will surely buy only one of them.
Dont have a Wii U yet, but this game has me intrested, is good to see a new IP from Nintendo and as an online shooter I think the game has a lot of potential.
I am in the same position, practically missed all last gen because of my MBA and newborn child. Never played a PS3 before, bought one and it's waiting for me to consume my XboX 360 backlog (already played all Wii games that intrested me)
After what I saw at E3, I am not planning on getting a new console for at least a year (PS4 is looking to be the one). I am starting my PS3 experience with the Uncharted trilogy.
Nintendo is not going anyware anytime soon, but they need to expand their offer, their franchises and their "play it safe with games for everyone" strategy because is not working very for their home console business.
The huge performance difference between the Wii and Wii U it's an obvious sign that the "casual" market is not reliable, loyal fans and core gamers are the ones who buy consoles, by this time all their loyal fans bought the wii U and for t...
Well, like Miyamoto said, my attention went to those games that were different from your tipical Shooters, problem is those games werent exactly their franchises or exclusive to their console.
Didnt know about the Darksiders collection, never got to play the game, so I think I'm getting it.
The console hasnt failed; it's not doing well but Nintendo still has a chance to make it sucessful and after MK8 and E3 things are looking better.
With that said, IMO Nintendo has a lot of work to do and their game line up will need more than Yoshi, Toad and Link to bring back some of the gamers they lost.
In my case the problem with Wii U is the lack of games that appeal to me. After the Wii I grew tired of plataformers, party and "family oriented" games.
Nintendo repeated the formula with the Wii U and its just not appealing anymore. I'll probably get one, but as of now, Im still waiting for more games.
Maybe its me but I feel since the last years of the Wii Nintendo is mostly focused on Plataformers and Party Games, the last nintendo game I actually played and finish was Skyward sword, I couldnt force myself to beat Galaxy 2 or DKC: Returns, I know they are both excellent games, but they just feel like more of the same.
I will eventually buy a Wii U, but right now the only 2 games that I would like to play are Pikmin 3 and Wonderful 101, and those games are not the ones tha...
No way Pikmin 3 will boost Wii U Sales.
Plataformers, Party games and fitness all over again!
Nintendo needs to change, from the NES to the Wii I bought every Nintendo console on launch day, afer what they did with the Wii and seeing they were taking exactly the same route with the Wii U, I just had to let Nintendo go, Im not sure I'll buy a Wii U at all.
errrrr.. Where is Act Raiser???
I've always been a Nintendo Fan, But over the years, specially this Gen, I grew a little tired of the nintendo formula; I am getting a Wii U, but I'll wait for at least 1 game that I know I'll like.
Im done with mini games, party games, family oriented games, etc; I aint touching Nintendoland even if it gets perfect scores every where, Im just done with that type of games.
Shenmue made me buy a Dreamcast, Final Fantasy X made me buy a PS2, Metroid...

Getting one for work porpuses, but IM not sold yet, I like the console, but I need a game that will make me want the console.
Well they are fun.
I understand if you dont like it and I know there are better FPS on the market, but they are fun to play.
Yes the functionality of the Wii U pad on this game can be seen as Gimmicky but for this game I see how they add to the suspense and tension.
having to take my eyes away from the TV for a few seconds, while the enemy is lurking around is a nice touch and a new way to create "terror"
(Sorry for my english, is not my natural language)
if they do something like that I'll change from being someone that its not sure of wanting a Wii U (not at Lauch for sure) to a day 1 buyer!
There are LOTS of good DS/3Ds game that I'll love to play and since I dont do handheld gaming, that would be and ideal solution.
Yup,
it should have been there!
