There's plenty they sacrificed to get it at 60fps with Raytacing.
They took the PS4 Pro texture settings, and further dialed back crowd density, along with physics. Added dynamic resolution that scales between 1080p and 1440p. All the reflections that are drawn in the BVH structure are 720p and they don't have the full distance that they do in the 4k RT mode, which renders RT reflections, Ambient Occlusion and Shadows all at a higher resolution something between 108...
The console is expected to have shipped 6 million units by the end of fiscal year 21... Which is March 2021. They're no delays, it's just a forecast and it's a pretty modest prediction given the consumer awareness and anticipation for the PS5, the PS4 sold just over 7 million units by March 2014, which was the close of fiscal year 2014 for Sony.
That's a pretty safe place to be if they're expecting to sell the machine at $500
Having a long hiatus after Razors Edge failed
I'll just say April. They're totally gearing up for a Spring reveal. Feb is almost over, and Godfall's Devs CounterPlay gave the biggest tease that We can look forward to a blowout in Spring 2020 which start late March.
The Coalition formally known as Black Tusk, was working on a new IP that was shelved after MS bought Gears from Epic and forced to work on gears... Honestly. It's time to shelve this franchise and bring a new IP out of the studio. MS is too dependent on Gears
Cliffy needs a job I guess. After bosskey's failure
They've proven that they can make amazing experiences. Stardust HD, Resogun, Dead Nation, Alienation, Outland, Nex Machina and Matterfall are incredible games... Seeing them make a AAA game is a dream come true and I'm almost certain that they're partnering with Sony for this! Both Shu and Shawn Layden visited their studio 3 times last year while Layden was head of WWS. That's a dead give away that they've got full support of Sony .
Nioh is currently on my backlog. Plan on getting this once I complete Nioh. Nioh 2 looks amazing. To think this franchise started life as a troubled PS3 game until Demon's Souls came in and became a popular sub genre!
Lol, MS fans don't changed the goal post again.
I guess I'll chime in! The way I see it, the need for E3 has become less in recent years, the idea of them spending big cash to dazzle industry professionals and journalist with music concerts and live orchestras seem more over indulgent. At this point it makes sense you coalesce all that money and reach your consumer base on an intimate level with your own events...
Last year proved quite insightful, they had zero presence at E3 but some how they still had exclusives a...
It won't and that's not MS's goal, they've really shifted towards software services and getting you the Xbox eco system through games from anywhere, PC, XB, xCloud game pass...
People don't stop buying the PS4 after the PS5 is released. People who aren't hardcore will upgrade to PS5 when they're ready. Sony was still releasing PS3 games 9 months up prior to PS4 launching. The PS5 launch will always be for the early adopters and Sony plans to maximize their profits with PS5 and PS4 anyway. So what advantage is their in announcing a product and not talking about it?
They need to do the PS5 event and get on with it. If they're doing Spring then this will be March instead of February
This trickle feed is annoying af. Just reveal the damn thing already in all its Glory
So he (no longer) works at Ubisoft? Still pretty cool photo tho
Pretty Sure Sony's new unannounced Studio in San Diego is working on that.
They've hired people from NaughtyDog, Rockstar North, DICE LA, MS, and GG to prepare for this, since ND is no longer working on Uncharted. And they've been at this for just about 2 years. I'm pretty sure when the PS Meeting 2020 gets underway, we will see them announce the studio formally and the game.
They actually are large enough. They're 600 people strong in fact, the Netease NEw IP Title is still in preproduction with 30-50 developers working in it. Destiny right now is what's keeping the lights on,and they've confirmed that Destiny 2 will have 5 more years of expansions with Shadowkeep being the first of these 5 year Anchor points which set the tone for the year ahead for all the content that comes. So we won't be seeing D3 for a While! They work at a different cadence...
I'm no Kojima worshiper. This is the first Kojima game I've ever completed. To the people calling this disappointing... They were hoping for a Metal Gear Game with Horror elements. I'm glad it's the farthest thing from Metal Gear.
It's a riveting experience and I enjoyed every moment of it
@Soulrakk.. Bungie themselves said it in their vidoc announcing Shadowkeep.. what rock have you been sleeping under
Spiderman uses RT Reflections, Ambient Occlusion and RT shadows
