Sony had to give early release dates. If not, noone would buy the PS3.
They gave early dates, then delayed them.
If Sony had came out and said. Ok we are releasing the PS3, but no games are due until holiday 08. Wouldnt everyone wait until then to buy a PS3?
Its business, they fibbed. Cant blame them, Sony already had lackluster sales, think of how bad it would have been if they said "no games until late 08"

Games get delayed thats a fact of the INDUSTRY. Its not just Sony.
Twilight Princess was supposed to come out in 04 for the GC, and didnt come out until 07 for a totally different system. SSBB was delayed until march when it just came out.
I will put $1000 down that Gears of War 2 doesnt make it out this year.

Or maybe a week since I love fooling around with the environment in MGS games. In MGS2 when your snake and your sneaking around the ship you get to a room with glass windows, a bar, and magazine racks. I remember spending an hour shooting that up.
I think all of Kojima Productions hard work will pay off. I expect this to be one of the highest rated games of all time.
I applaud Sony for putting Blu-Ray in the PS3, and taking such a gamble.
Its a win/win for Sony and us gamers. Sony wins making Blu-Ray a standard. Gamers win by having HUGE HIGH QUALITY games to enjoy.

Every single day I see about 5 threads on the Official PS forums, asking if they should buy a PS3 now, or wait for the MGS4 bundle.
I really think people are underestimating the power of that game. Thank MS fans for that. Because of all the MGS4 rumors back and fourth, it brought so much attention to it. People who werent fans of the series, looked to see what all the hoopla was about. All you need is to see one video and you know its gaming GOLD.
LOL PS2 = SKYNET Very funny indeed. Its totally believable. There are so many PS2s out there.
It was my worst gaming purchase ever. I got way more fun out of my Dreamcast.
I was waiting for SSBB to come out so that hopefully it would justify my purchase. And while the game is fun, its pretty much the same as the GC version, just with a bigger roster.
Thanks god for SMG, I got a good 50 hours out of it.

True Genesis didnt have a start up screen, but he is talking about SEGA published games like Sonic which had the Seeeeeggggaaaaa during the game boot up.
I have to agree that was the best boot up.
But I love the PS1, PS3, and PSP.
I hated the PS2 bootup.
Thats another reason why I fully support Insomniac and Naughty dog, and I have purchased everything they have put out thus far on the PS3.
They could have put the DLC right on the disc if they went PS3 exclusive. Blu-Ray could have fit it.

When I update I get error 800B0100.
Now my comp is doing all kinds of weird stuff.
It started to update, got to 7%, then failed.
Now I am getting that error code.
