Actually no, I wrote this piece and generally I don't like Nolan North, think he's overused. He's essentially the Hank Azaria of the gaming world. Drake is a great role for him, but Deadpool, Superboy and Desmond are all a bit meh to me. For this role though, yeah I kinda loved him.
I didn't realise that until the credits, he nailed this role! Sounds like a completely different person unlike most of Nolan North's roles that sound like Nolan North :)
My guess would be virtual buttons on the screen or divide the back pad into a left and right sensor area for R2 and L2. To be honest I don't think the L or R 3 buttons are used too much these days and if they are I can only think of a couple of examples of them being essential (like weapon select etc). But touch screen could be used to replace that. Not saying it should, just saying it could.
Why? My point is that the PS4 and Vita are going to be well integrated into each other, so if you are thinking of buying a PS4 and want all possible benefits from doing so then a Vita would help with that. As I said in the piece it's all about future proofing.
At first I was thinking this was an awful idea, but no I think about it an option as you say to turn it on and off would be awesome! Keep the main thrust of the game as a FPS but just have the option of 3rd person like a racing game would be great!
I honestly believe a new Mario Kart game could make this console a success. It did wonders for the Wii and the DS, brings in a good mix of casual and core gamers.
No, not Nintendo, 3rd parties have, and the vast majority are ports of old PS3 and Xbox games...that is a bad number.
Ok I admit there are indies making games for the system, I just think Sony and the PC is getting a better slice of the action with more recognisable devs.
As for Pride I don't remember saying about the eShop or Origins, but my point is more about arrogance than pride, I think they've become lazy and rely on their Nintendo name more than their accomplishments over the past couple of generations.
I'm not hating on Nintendo in this piece :) more just...
Actually, in Europe, there are actually only like 38 games (retail) and of those only 13 are exclusive, and a lot of those are rehashes like Arkham City Armoured Edition. Basically there are far fewer games than you think :) http://n4g.com/news/1253355...
I think the issue it did have was related to it being Sandbox. It meant that you didn't really have any structure, the game wouldn't narrow the field as to where you should go it just said "Here's a city, go nuts"...A blessing and a curse.
I really don't understand what you are trying to say here, partially because of your use of English, but also because you've made leaps of assumption about fanboyism and this piece being about the console rather than the game.
Yeah if you ignored the story and just made the most of the sandbox fun it was an absolute joy! Agility FTW!
I admit Martin may have gone over board but his intent was a tongue in cheek comedy piece. May have missed the mark slightly but it was an attempt yes.

wow this fake quotes thing is fun!
Two things:
1)N4G has rules about how content is put up, you have to write in the third person...go look at every other article on here.
2)I posted up this piece on N4G from my site, but I am not the writer, as such it's me writing about someone else not in third person.
Nice piece, short of Day Z i've given them all a try. Was expecting a more general ambiguous list but pleased to see you actually committed to ideas on the list!
I agree with your points but the person who you're replying to didn't mention portal/team fortress/left4dead and cs. Not sure why you have gone on the defence for those but not Half Life. But I REPEAT, I agree with your points.
I think there's a slight difference in my article and the comments here, I give credit to Half Life 2 in areas, if anything you've made a sweeping judgement there that you are accusing me of. I do elaborate on the issues I see with the game.
My issue isn't with Valve, Left4Dead and Portal are great. If you read the piece you'll also see I like Half Life 1 and Opposing Forces, but Half Life 2 is a game I take issue with.
Thanks, rare to find other people who appreciate this game. There was quite a band wagon effect on release where everyone just copied what certain critics said without trying for themselves.
It was reported today that Skate 3 has been in the UK charts top 20 for the past couple of years thanks to Youtubers. GAME in the UK got EA to do re-prints. EA would be crazy to overlook that kind of pseudo-fanbase thats come in from people like PewDiePie. Black Box may not be the what it was but the IP is still owned by EA and it's not uncommon for them to go off to another studio to throw something together.
