Major multiplayer titles are third party. Halo and Gears were console juggernauts back in the day, but titles like Overwatch, Destiny, COD, Fifa (Europe), and GTA online have claimed the charts. Sea of Thieves may prove to be a very good game, but a console seller "closing the gap"? While also on PC?

Wild guess: this suddenly became a issue when MS announced Game Pass and subsequently slashed SOD2 price in half?
Or did this moral indignation exist at the time games like Quantum Break, Ryse and Sunset Overdrive were released?
LG was re-revealed and released WITHIN the timeframe of Crackdown 3 reveal and no-release. I think the criticism stems from MS track record this gen, cancelling Scalebound, Fable Legends, Phantom Dust Remake, Project Spark, Project: Knoxville etc. Obviously this hurts their credibility.

It was not offensive... I remember a lots of taking off, starmap, space jump, landing, driving and shooting stuff, sprinkled with loading screens. Rinse and repeat.

One out of 30 players bought a psysical copy (if we disregard "shipped") and that is NOT bad. Add digital sales (800K?) and the ratio gets even better.
The water does not use cloud compute. Syncing has no impact on graphics.
