good start would be to expand the plus collection. include every single ps4 exclusive. start adding any easy ports from ps1/2/3 and psp/vita also.

well that's what happens when the library of games is this good. look at the positive.

this is more of a ubisoft problem as opposed to hardware problem. both consoles are capable of doing 4k 60fps.
im barely getting 60fps at 3440x1440 on watchdogs legion and i have a 3090. they just suck at optimizing their games. most ac games have been the same on pc as well. doesn't matter what hardware you have they just don't perform as they should.

with how poorly the ac games perform on pc its no surprise consoles aren't handling it any better. personally i care very little for 4k. prefer a smoother experience even if it means i don't get to use those ultra high assets.

since they first revealed it its never looked better than an average game. not bad just ok. looks pretty, gameplay is decent and competent but lacks any meaningful content that could hook you in.

wait for a price drop just in case it might disappoint you.

was hoping it wouldn't be another situation like odyssey. that sucks. might as well play it on console if it wont take advantage of my hardware.

If true this sucks. This game is the main reason i preordered the ps5. Raytracing might be too much for the consoles but they should at least have it as an option for anyone that doesnt mind the drop in performance.

As much as i want demons souls, ratchet and spiderman they dont warrant a $400 price point. Ill wait for more games or a price cut/bundle.

Although if enough ps4 exclusives get an “enhanced” update i would probably get it right away. Plenty of ps4 games i havent played.

Its more of a lateral upgrade than anything else. Dont get fooled. You will get most of the new bells and whistles(raytracing/ssd benefits) but raw gpu performance isnt really that different.

Now that still makes it a pretty compelling option for everybody especially at that price. If it has the games you want just get the damn thing its only $300. Who cares if you dont get native 4k or if your games are at a lower quality preset to get those high fps.

...

i knew it was coming but was expecting $15. its still a decent deal more so now that it has ea games. but im out. it just doesn't have enough games that interest me or i have already played the ones i did like.

would i still be able to get it every other month a game i do want comes out on it?

1958d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

this has little to do with the ssd in your pc. its going to be handled by the gpu which should be just as fast if not faster than the ssd in the ps5. it should also minimize latency. this is all in theory though so everybody should wait for benchmarks.

none of this matters though. games make or break a console, not its power or speed.

i have no need for the disc drive. mainly a pc gamer and thats mostly been digital for quite some time. i probably only got like 6 physical games for my ps4. everything else was digital but i kinda skipped the current gen apart from the few must have exclusives.

but why is this even up for discussion. just get the version you want. who cares what some rando on the internet thinks.

1967d ago 3 agree3 disagreeView comment

totally. loved the ps3 days when i didn't have to worry about online subscriptions. just start up warhawk and go online. quick and easy.

i guess its due to the market. all other consoles charge for it and gamers dont seem to mind so why not do the same.

honestly at this point my ps5 will just be used for exclusives. everything else i will play on pc.

I remember having this discussion with someone on reddit. i was totally convinced both versions would be the same price and just have different storage capacities.

the series s makes me believe that wont be the case. unless sony is ready to sell at a loss the digital version will be cheaper and i cant see them doing that while adding more storage.

the main reason i have ps plus is just for online play. everything else is just a plus and quite frankly dont care much for it. at this point online play should be free on every platform.

next thing they should do is focus on having a single subscription service with whatever they can think of to include. So same free games from plus and access to stream/download games from ps now. one service $20 a month.

I know the title talks about the xbox but any console with a price tag of $600 is DOA. At that point performance, games, services, etc. none of that matters. You will be pricing yourself out of the console market especially with the current situation around the world.

my prediction
ps5 digital 400
ps5 $500
xboxs $400
xboxx $550

saw a video about thequartering on this subject. that guy made more than 70 videos just shitting on the game. he didnt even play it and he still ranted about it for more than 70 videos. let that sink in. lol

arent current cards like the 2080ti barely maxing out pcie3 8x? guess we will have to wait and see how they perform on both intel and amd. either way im covered. have systems with both z490 and x570 mobos. just wish they would hurry.

1982d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

damn, xbox cant catch a break. halo delay is a huge deal. sucked the wind from xbox "sales". they cant delay the console now. will probably loose even more sales. we might see some really aggressive pricing from Microsoft just to have some leverage over ps5. so even if this looks bad it might be good for gamers after all.

1988d ago 3 agree3 disagreeView comment

i can see that happening but consider a price increase much more likely. cant see how it can stay at $6 for too long. GP will definitely go up to $15 or $20 a month on pc. then you can probably get it cheaper if you subscribe for the year or something like that.
