I do read info online pretty much everyday while checking email, etc. but I still love getting the good old rags every month. I do not want to take my laptop to the crapper just to surf internet news. I get EGM, PLAY, OXM & Gameinformer. I figure if I can't make heads or tails of a game and bs reviews through those then the internet won't help either. I can take a mag everywhere. THey don't need power, they don't need wifi, they won't burn my lap or cost me money if dropped and the p...
I'm with you on this one. I have a wife and kid so my gaming time is usually either late night or in small time windows. I've been gaming since Calecovision but I guess because I don't play every game on hard or expert I'm not a hardcore gamer. Either way I tend to play the normal setting on most games because I just want to play and don't have the amount of time needed to play levels over and over.
I am however playing CoD4 on Veteran as I've always loved the series and I f...
Same thing the BR camp said last year when BR launched!
Sad thing is I like BR. The tech geek in my looks at BR's specs and giggles man but Sony absolutely needs that sub $200 standalone player. They do that and they have this war won hands down.
At this time it is the better value, no matter how you spin it. Toshiba knows who they want, they want the average person to buy there player and movies. They've proven this by selling there product at a price point that Joe Six-pack can handle. You may not think so but both companies would rather win the U.S. over Japan. We spend more on movies then they do, look it up.
The PS3 is not a viable option. It is odd you folks can't figure that out. The companies NEED and wa...
At this point in the game HD-DVD is the better value. I’m not concerned with who wins this war as I have no problems right now being a dual-format supporter. I can tell you this though, while us gadget fans/Techo geeks love the sound of 100GB BR Discs full of special features, etc., the general public could careless. Once they start to adopt one of these formats they will simply want HD movies to take advantage of there HD TV’s. They aren’t going to care who has the bigger capacity disc a...
I have no clue about availability as I have a very good Gamestop locally and I pretty much pre-order everything. As for the issue someone mentioned about lag. I can speak only for 360 but there is some occasionally but usually from what I’ve seen it is a blip or two and it is back to running smooth. Overall with as much detail the game has and the amount of action going on, it handles 18 players online d*mn good. I’d imagine the PSN is running just as good.
I get more BS lag...
I don’t own a PS3 and have no real interest in the game but I think it is a bad idea to bring this out in December. An unknown I.P. from a reputable company is always interesting but not during the month of December when most of the average joe six-pack are broke from the holidays. This game, good or not will be severely overlooked with everyone buying games for gifts. There first choice will not be Haze, they will be snatching up DS’s, PSP’s, Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted, Guitar Hero, Roc...
So a dying chain with overpriced rental fees decides they are going to support the highest priced console? Seems like a nice fit!
Honestly, you PS3 owners can’t possibly be that happy over this announcement can you? This is the same as the whole K-Mart supporting HD-DVD only news, lol. Two dying chains last ditch efforts to find a ladder out of there giant hole. I mean do you guys honestly want this type of association? Come to Blockbuster and play PS3 on our kiosks, oh and ...
It is dang refreshing to see a post without any bashing! Good job so far folks!!!
Forget all of 2007, yes we’ve had some amazing games on both systems already this year but man November, 2007 is one tasty month for both PS3 and 360. BOTH are getting CoD 4, Guitar Hero III, Assassins Creed, Kane & Lynch & Rock Band. That isn’t counting the exclusives R & Clank, Uncharted, Mass Effect. This is a month to remember man! I know we all argue quite a bit on here but i...
Are you folks that delusional that you think MS will go down if Blu-Ray becomes the standard? While MS obviously sells the HD-DVD add-on, you honestly don’t think that MS put all there eggs in the HD-DVD basket do you? That has been the reason for the external drive. They already alluded to not putting any Hi-Def format drive into there box without there being a sole format. Also, don’t forget MS has there hands in EVERYONE’S pockets, not just Toshiba’s. They are one of the creators of th...
You only prove my point! What do you do when you don't have the cojones to counter an argument? You sit in the corner and stutter...
I try to read your posts with an open mind but you always bring the Dreamcast into it. This only goes to show that you my friend are not a gamer, therefore discrediting ANY opinion you may have.
The Dreamcast died in the states but it is still not dead in Japan. If you were a true gamer then you would understand that while Dreamcast did not make it here, it amassed one hell of a collection of games before bowing out. It gave birth to quite a few franchises we still have toda...
The last thing Sony owners should want is for MS to pull out of any region they are in. As long as MS has a presence in the console market it will force Sony to continue to improve both hardware & software and pricing. This goes the other way as well (So you folks don’t think I’m picking on Sony). Competition breeds excellence! If you let them, Sony will put themselves on cruise control and just sit back and watch. They did it with the release of PS2. That is until Xbox came to marke...
I think the greatest part of this, is that NASIM posted it and of course slid in the part where this MAY prompt KOEI to completely pull support for Xbox. That is dang near laugh out loud funny. I’d like to see your source for that statement. I’d assume that KOEI must have made a hint towards it, since you are claiming it? Do you honestly think KOEI is worried about Bladestorm selling well on one particular system or another? They will continue as usual, milking all of there series for wh...
If the PS3 owners want KOEI they can have them, lol. I thought the first couple of games were ok but seriously, these games are and will never be something that people will cry about. I guess the Jap gamers are either just into stuff like Bladestorm or really do like garbage. Obviously with install base of 360's in Japan, an already bad game isn't going to put up good numbers. I doubt many 360 owners are posting because they already know that the 360 user base in Jap is low and it really ...
Hopefully the extended demo will give them time to inject some actual FUN into the GT series! You Sony freeks can make claims all you want but the GT series has long been in need of some FUN. It has the graphics and physics and obviously the cars but good god has it become boring. That is where Forza trumps it! You can deny it all you want but Forza while not as graphically polished as GT and obviously has no where near the cars GT does, has GT matched in physics and straight up beat in F...
You are actually going to CLAIM you saw a difference in that crappy video? Buhahahaaa… That was the worst quality ever. The only thing YOU saw there was Jade & and a video that shows the PS3 game actually runs. It was impossible to tell anything more. Keep grasping for straws…
This means about as much as the makers of LAIR saying the same thing before it was launched. The game is still unproven and I wouldn't take any news of sequels seriously. I can see it now, the next time an article comes out about who has better games, the sony boys are going to start claiming a win in 2009 with Uncharted Part Deux, lolol....
Sony boys can only hope! Hell it has been the only steady thing Sony can claim there PS3 has going for it!
Sony: “You can watch Blu-Ray movies on it! But we won’t provide you any HD cables or a remote because we know 80% of our users do not actually own an HD T.V. set so why would they care about Blu-Ray! Wait, sorry we take that back Blu-Ray is the next Jesus media, you must own it!”
It will never happen now but I don't remember a single console being a bad thing when I was growing up.
Atari & Nintendo had NO real competitors in the U.S. When Nintendo hit, it was, no matter what the ONLY console and it brought around some of the best franchises of all time. We didn't play video games, we played Nintendo and that sh*t was fun. We didn't b*tch about games, we just huddled around that sucker and played until our eyes bled, lol.
What onc...
