I see you're an iOS developer. You should know then, better than anyone, that all games (and apps, for that matter) work via the same model: Press the button, and X happens. By that logic, I guess everything's a preschooler's toy.

I fail to see how gaming as a whole is over because there could be a Dragon Quest sequel and DQ11 could be an action-RPG. Is the movie industry over because there are remakes? Is the book industry over because Twilight exists? Think about what you're saying.
