Atleast it will be harder than Demon's Souls. People tend to exaggerate on Demon's Souls difficulty. I mean seriously, these last few days I've seen comments of people complaining how hard it was. I finished it with a vast variety of builds, sure it was a little tough in the beginning, but later on when you get to know the game, it isn't that hard.

Good game, good review. I for one didn't play Yakuza 3 that much, it got pretty boring pretty quickly. Yakuza 4 is different though, man I'm loving it. The variety of character keeps it fresh, and the lack of host clubs in Yakuza 3 was a bummer (enjoyed them in the first game, haven't played the second).
If Yakuza 3 is a 8.5, then Yakuza 4 has to be a 9.5. It's just that good.
I choose PS3 over X360 because, well... Truth is I wanted a X360 when it released, had no money though. So I waited, PS3 released, still no money, waited. Then in 09' or 2010 bought a PS3 on my birthday, with MGS4. I have not regreted this even once, dang I love Metal Gear :D. Oh, and I also prefer the controller, been using DualShock since PSX era.
Next gen could be different though, also hope Nintendo steps up. Want an updated N64 experince (if you can catch my point)
I play it once in a while, when I rarely play on my PS3. Not buying any map packs though, it's a trap! :o
I didn't realize this game was released (lol). Seeing as how bad it predecessors where, I bet this is no different. I enjoyed playing the first at a friends house once though. Good times ;D
Indeed Microsoft is doing lot better than last gen, let's hope they will do good next gen aswell. That way it will spark more competition, resulting in more games for us gamers. I hope Nintendo will do better aswell, was disapointed in the Wii. Oh, and make online gaming free microsoft, you got enough money as it is ;D

Edit: It probably will save you time, but it's still cheap. And once you beat world 4, you can just farm souls like a maniac.
I love this game, gimme' Demon's Souls 2 please! Easily the BEST PS3 game to date, for me that is. Beat it countless number of times, and my advise is that you make a character that focuses on magic for your first playtrough. You can easily beat most bosses with firestorm, when you get that, that is.

Games need to be longer. That's also one of the reasons I like RPG/JRPG's. Star Ocean The Last Hope took me about 50 hours to complete, and I hardly grinded nor did I do side missions.
