I pirated it and it's not a bad game. Certainly not worth buying a switch over it.
Dear god, couldn't they have upscaled the backgrounds? There are artists capable of achieving this. They're just still images.

You know, I didn't like it on the snes, but that is an example of a game that REALLY benefitted from the remake. The music especially -- they need to HD remaster FFT+TO:LUCT

I admire what they did with 4/Apocalypse. But it is a step in the wrong direction from the greatness of the original and Nocturne. The DLC stuff was especially egregious.

Exactly. They disable trophies, too. I just feel it ruins the original feeling of the game to have a win button always at your disposal. Let us have a special "easy mode" to select at the beginning of the game if people want it.
I don't want cheats enabled by default in my game -- especially when it takes a button press to enable them.
The textures for rock on the switch look so awful.
Just pirate it dude and if you really like it, buy it down the line when it's on sale. That's how i deal with nintendo.
Despite how much money this series makes, it still looks less technically (and creatively) impressive than most indie studio titles. I think the music might be its saving grace, but you can walk through the game with no difficulty.

Squall died from the encounter with Edea and his final unconscious moments make up the remainder of the game.
