For adults that are buying for themselves, they would probably choose the more expensive option, but parents choosing a Christmas present for their kids will look at the Series S and see that as a very appealing offer.
I gotta say, the options Microsoft are offering for next gen are possibly the best I have ever seen at the start of a new generation. Two different consoles, with two appealing prices, especially the Series S, and then you have these monthly instalments that offer Game Pass Ultimate and EA Play alongside the console.
It's £249.
There are some major differences, the Switch isn't going to give people a chance to subscribe to a huge pool of games. Also, a Switch bundle isn't cheap, and at most it will come with 3 games. The Switch is clearly becoming outdated at this point too, a lot of third party games aren't getting released on it anymore, and Nintendo's own releases have completely dried up.
I'm not saying I would buy an Xbox Series S, there is pretty much zero reason for me ...
If I was a parent on a budget, this would be my kids Christmas present. The price of the console combined with game pass will be a massive incentive for parents.
AAAA? Shut up, Ubisoft, just shut up.
If a game is available digitally, then there is no good reason why it should be available for a limited time. Only fanboys would defend this.
Nintendo are an anti-consumer company, have been for years, but they are forgiven because people played their games as kids. Nintendo gets away with all of the things other game companies get criticised for.
This is why I don't trust game reviews. They never mention things like this in their review, a lot of the times they ignore bugs altogether.
Wasn't the best 3D Sonic game and wasn't the worst, it was alright without being spectacular.
There are fans out there happy to do this for free and Nintendo shuts them down whenever they get wind of it. If Nintendo are going to keep threatening fans then maybe they should do the job themselves.
The game looks crap. I am also sick to death of so many third person games having that awful over the shoulder view, it causes so many camera issues. Just look at the 2 minute mark, the field of view is terrible.
When did the "it's only cosmetics" saying start and why has it become an acceptable excuse for this stuff?
Because the fans never push for anything better.
With the games I play, I don't really need to upgrade on my RTX 2070 Super, I want to upgrade my CPU first anyway. But it's good to know that I would be getting my money's worth when I do upgrade.
Here's Father_Merrin downplaying PC news again.
Well done, you win the award for Sony fanboy of the day.
The leap in performance seems to be massive. I'm looking forward to seeing more tests.
"the moment the industry will go full digital i ll stop gaming too"
I don't believe you for a second. People that say this are talking out of their ass.
There is no way the all digital version of the PS5 will be $279. The specs of the console are the same on both consoles minus the disc drive on the digital version, a disc drive will not bring the price down that much.
