Nah they could easily do number two on current
consoles, but this give them a chance to redefine
the series and make it a lot better I suppose.
Technically, this is a good thing for consumers
and developers. I say technically because
Microsoft didn’t give a single shit about any of this
until Sony dominated them and heavily outpaced
them in preorders. Considering Microsoft was all
for dicking over indies and consumers until the competition stepped in, this suggests to me that
this is all just to make nice with consumers with
hopes that they might dominate the market well
