Really? MS announced they were the best selling console in Europe for 5th month running in their financial statement. I guess it can't have been getting it's ass whooped that hard? 360 also dominates over PS3 in Canda, UK, Austrailia, heck, pretty much all english speaking countrys :-)
and I'm sure MS are upset when PS3 outsells 360 in Japan by 30 odd k, when they're outselling PS3 in NA by the hundreds of thousands.

@ Movements your figures are wrong, they made a one off $1 billion for all RROD, so where you got $3 billion from I don't know. The original Xbox lost $4 billion, the 360 lost $3 billion including the $1 billion RROD payout, and since starting to profit, it's made a little over $1.2 billion profit. Of course this is the E&D division, but the bulk of the figures come from the 360, unless something like KIN kills the Q.

Well, to answer your obvious question, no the PS3 won't beat the 360 in NPD for August ... or any other month for the foreseeable future.
Even without the Slim 360, the 360 has beaten the PS3 in NPD every month so far this year, and 21 months over the last 24.

The 360 S is about the same size as a PS3 slim ... so no not really.
Microsoft have already confirmed there will be a $199 arcade, it's no that hard to imagine it'll drop to $149, given how long it's been $199 and the fact that it's now slimmer and thus cheaper. If Kinect is $120, they could bundle it for $249.

IF Microsoft does need a HD. They'll add 20GB to the arcade, and sell 20GB dirt cheap or bundle it with Kinect.
It's no secret these HDD's are dirt cheap and Microsoft just like to gauge as much money from the consumer as humanly possibly.
When they want mass adoption they change tactis and they sell cheap.
They never needed to sell HDD's cheap in the past, or wi-fi. So carry on with this "Microsoft peripherals are stupid...
So many things wrong with this.
For starters, a game will be bundled with Kinect and it'll most likely be Kinect Sports. It's a given.
You don't NEED wireless whatsoever to play Kinect.
You don't NEED a HD, especially a 120GB. Not to mention they'll more than likely add a 20GB to the upcoming arcade slim. It'll cost them pennys.
Kinect adaptor is free.

they're all exactly the same size ... though consider Sony and Nintendo have 2 consoles .. 360 has the most amount of floorspace by quite the margin.
