I don't think its too late for the PS3.
Both consoles are gonna sell a lot and produce many good games.
I am not going to buy a system just because I can watch movies in HD. I prefer playing amazing games.
Actually the new chipsets run a lot cooler also they use less power and newer Xbox 360s have a extremely small chance of getting RROD.
I still didn't get RROD and EVERYONE I KNOW didn't get RROD too. I must be lucky.

Maybe people are disagreeing with you because the 360 is not selling at a loss. Last I heard it was still making a profit on each console. Please link.
