I don't own a DS because I just don't play the types of games it has, doesn't mean it's not good, but some people just aren't into portable gaming.
I was disappointed as well, I wish it had been more like the first trailer they had shown (I think at e3 2008). I think it's main problem was that it was ahead of it's time and was held back by it. If it had come out 5 years later I think it could have reached it's potential.

Some dlc is stupid, looking at you mw2. However, dlc can also be used to add content that the developer didn't think of until too late into development into the game.
